Join Our Advisory Committee

SBUA’s Advisory Committee provides ongoing guidance to strengthen our advocacy on behalf of small business utility customers in regulatory and policy proceedings. The Committee brings together small business owners and leaders, along with public policy and energy experts, to offer practical insight on emerging utility issues and their impacts on small businesses.

We welcome applications from:

  • Small business owners and operators
  • Leaders of small business associations
  • Public policy, energy, and utility experts

If you are interested in contributing a grounded, solutions-oriented perspective to support fair and effective utility policy for small businesses, we invite you to apply below.

SBUA is a 501(c)(3) organization with a public-benefit mission to represent small business ratepayers as a community, not individual businesses. Before the California Public Utilities Commission, SBUA advocates only for small commercial customers of bundled electric service, as defined in California Public Utilities Code section 1802, and SBUA does not advocate on behalf of the energy industry or any other non-customer interest.
