The California Public Utilities Commission has set public hearings to discuss San Diego Gas and Electric’s (SDG&E) request to determine the share of total electricity costs to be allocated to small commercial customers (along with and in comparison to other customer classes). The purpose of the hearings are to inform and solicit comments from SDG&E customers.  For small businesses that are customers of SDG&E and cannot attend the hearings in person, they can listen in with telephone services during the September 18, 2019 meeting (see below).

SBUA is pleased to announce that the CA Renewable Energy Procurement Summit will be held October 28 – 30, 2019 in Sacramento, CA.  This event is an opportunity for all types of load-serving entities (LSEs) to come together to discuss how renewables procurement is changing and what is needed to adapt to growing statewide needs. Important discussions will be had distributed storage programs, the impacts of the PG&E bankruptcy, and other items that affect small businesses and other utility customers.
